TuffBrane™ is a patented Anion Exchange Membrane with excellent performance and durability.

  • Non-Fluorinated, hydrocarbon polymer chemistry

  • High ionic conductivity - 100-180 mS/cm (σOH-)

  • Long durability in harsh alkaline environments

  • Low swelling ratio - <10%

  • High mechanical strength

  • High chemical stability - 0-14 pH

 

These impressive qualities are achieved through a polyethylene backbone chemistry, and when hydrated, the membrane gets even stronger.

The result is a low-cost, high performance membrane that will reduce capital and operational expenses for many applications.
